How To Use These Icons
Please note there is no support, technical or
otherwise, for these icons. While the process is straightforward, end-users
do so at there own risk and TheMcFox.com cannot be held liable for any
omissions or errors encountered.
Changing icons on Windows can be done in many different ways. I suggest
using the easiest methods! These are outlined below.
Download the .zip folder to a convenient location for easy access. As with
all downloads, it is good practice to scan the downloaded file with
antivirus software. If you don't have any, download the .zip folder then
send it via email as an attachment to an AOL, hotmail or msn account -
these are automatically scanned for viruses. You shouldn't have to
download it again since it should still be on your computer.
Unzip the folder. When you open it, you should see a selection of icons.
You will have to tell your computer where to find your icons so it is best
to create a folder in 'My Documents'. I would suggest calling it something
like '[no delete]' (including the brackets in the folder name) or
something similar. Place the icons into this folder. Now you know exactly
where to find them!
For Windows XP
-
Right click the folder, shortcut or
application you wish to change the icon on.
-
Choose "Properties" from the menu.
-
In the properties dialog, select the "Customize"
tab.
-
Press the "Change Icon" button to
open the icon selection window.
-
In the icon selection window, press the "Browse"
button.
-
Browse to the folder you created in 'My
Documents' called '[no delete]' (or whatever you have
chosen to call it).

as a replacement and press "Open".
