| Flu-like symptom complex was reported in 76% of the patients treated
with 0.25 mg Betaseron ®.
A patient was defined as having a flu-like symptom complex if flu-like
symptoms or at least two of the following symptoms were concurrently
reported: fever, chills, myalgia (muscle pains), malaise, or sweating.
The incidence rate of these events decreased over time, with 60%
of patients experiencing the event during the first 3 months of treatment
compared to 10% after 24 months.
