Multiple Sclerosis

Depression, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts have been reported to occur with increased frequency in patients receiving interferon compounds to treat multiple sclerosis.

Drug Interactions

 
Interactions between Betaseron ® and other drugs have not been fully evaluated.

No formal drug interaction studies have been conducted with Betaseron ®.

In the placebo controlled studies in multiple sclerosis (MS), corticosteroids or ACTH were administered for treatment of relapses for periods of up to 28 days in patients (N=664) receiving Betaseron ®.
