Multiple Sclerosis

Depression, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts have been reported to occur with increased frequency in patients receiving interferon compounds to treat multiple sclerosis.

Nursing Mothers

 
It is not known whether Betaseron ® is excreted in human breast milk.

Because of the potential of serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, a decision should be made to either discontinue nursing or to discontinue Betaseron ®.
