Depression, suicidal
ideation, and suicide attempts have been reported to occur with
increased frequency in patients receiving interferon compounds
to treat multiple sclerosis.
It is not known whether Betaseron ® is excreted in human
breast milk.
Because of the potential of serious adverse reactions in nursing
infants, a decision should be made to either discontinue nursing or
to discontinue Betaseron ®.
